1. Agreement to these Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of CampusBook websites, portals, applications and related services ("CampusBook" or the "Services"). CampusBook is operated by QuestLyft Ltd.

By accessing or using the Services, creating a CampusBook account, submitting information through CampusBook, or otherwise indicating your acceptance of these Terms, you agree to be bound by them.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not use the Services. If you use CampusBook on behalf of an education institution or another organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to act on its behalf to the extent required for your use of the Services.

2. About CampusBook

CampusBook is a digital education-management platform designed to support institutional processes such as applications and admissions, student records, registration, academic administration, fees and financial records, reporting, communications and related operational workflows.

The particular functions available to you depend on the institution using CampusBook, the services that institution has enabled, your assigned role and the stage of your relationship with that institution.

3. Eligibility and authority to use CampusBook

You may use CampusBook only where you are legally capable of doing so or where your use has been appropriately authorised by a parent, guardian, education institution, employer or other responsible person.

Institutional administrators and staff must use CampusBook only within the authority granted to them by their institution. You must not access records, functions or accounts that you are not authorised to use.

4. User accounts and account security

Some CampusBook services require an account. You agree to provide information that is accurate and reasonably complete and to keep account information updated where CampusBook allows you to do so.

You are responsible for:

• keeping your password, PIN or other authentication credentials confidential;
• using your account only for authorised purposes;
• not allowing another person to impersonate you through your account;
• logging out or otherwise securing devices where appropriate; and
• promptly reporting suspected unauthorised access or misuse.

Actions performed through an authenticated account may be recorded for security, accountability and audit purposes.

5. Use of the Services

You may use CampusBook for legitimate education, administrative, financial, communication and related purposes made available to you through the platform.

You agree to follow reasonable instructions, workflows, deadlines and requirements displayed within CampusBook or communicated by the institution responsible for the relevant service.

Features, workflows and access rights may differ between institutions and may change as an institution's processes or CampusBook services evolve.

6. Education institutions and CampusBook

CampusBook provides technology used by education institutions. The institution remains responsible for institutional decisions such as admission, enrolment, academic assessment, progression, examination eligibility, fees charged, disciplinary decisions and the accuracy of institutional policies communicated to its users.

CampusBook may display, transmit, calculate, organise or record information based on rules, data and approvals configured or supplied by an institution. Unless CampusBook expressly states otherwise, displaying an institutional decision or record does not mean that QuestLyft Ltd made that underlying decision.

7. Applications and admissions

CampusBook may allow prospective students to browse programmes, submit applications, upload supporting documents, track application status and receive admission-related communications or documents.

You are responsible for ensuring that information submitted in an application is accurate and that documents supplied are authentic. Submission through CampusBook does not guarantee admission.

Admission criteria, deadlines, programme availability, selection decisions and other admission requirements are determined by the relevant institution.

8. Fees, charges and payments

Where CampusBook displays tuition, application fees or other institutional charges, those amounts are generally established by the relevant institution. You should review the amount, payment reference and transaction details before authorising a payment.

Payments may be processed through banks, mobile-money operators, payment gateways or other third-party payment providers. Their own terms may apply to the payment service they provide.

A payment should not be treated as successfully credited to an institutional account until CampusBook or the institution has received sufficient confirmation to reconcile the transaction. Where a payment appears incorrect, duplicated, delayed or missing, contact the institution or CampusBook Support with the relevant transaction reference.

Refunds, reversals, waivers and adjustments relating to institutional charges are subject to the applicable institution's policies and any rights available under law.

9. Electronic communications and notifications

CampusBook may send service-related communications through the platform, email, SMS or other channels configured for the relevant service. These may include account notices, application updates, payment confirmations, academic notices, security alerts and other operational communications.

You are responsible for keeping relevant contact details reasonably current. Delivery may depend on third-party telecommunications or internet services and therefore cannot always be guaranteed.

10. Acceptable use

You must not use CampusBook to:

• access another person's account or information without authorisation;
• submit information or documents that you know are false, fraudulent or misleading;
• interfere with, damage or disrupt CampusBook or its underlying infrastructure;
• attempt to bypass authentication, permissions or other security controls;
• introduce malware, malicious code or other harmful material;
• scrape, harvest or systematically extract information without permission;
• reverse engineer or attempt to derive protected source code except where expressly permitted by law;
• use CampusBook to harass, threaten, defraud or unlawfully harm another person;
• upload material that infringes another person's rights; or
• use the Services in violation of applicable law or authorised institutional policy.

We may investigate suspected misuse and take reasonable steps to protect users, institutions and the integrity of the platform.

11. User content and institutional records

You or your institution may submit information, documents, records or other content to CampusBook. Ownership of that underlying content does not transfer to QuestLyft Ltd merely because it is processed through the platform.

You grant CampusBook the permissions reasonably necessary to host, process, transmit, display, back up and otherwise handle that content for the purpose of providing and securing the Services.

You must have the necessary authority to submit information or content that you provide through CampusBook.

12. CampusBook intellectual property

CampusBook, including its software, interface, design, branding, platform architecture, documentation and other proprietary materials, is owned by or licensed to QuestLyft Ltd and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

These Terms give you a limited right to use CampusBook for its intended purpose. They do not transfer ownership of CampusBook software or other proprietary materials to you or to an institution.

13. Third-party services and integrations

CampusBook may integrate with or link to third-party services such as payment providers, messaging services, identity services or other systems used by an institution.

Third-party services are operated independently and may have their own terms, privacy practices, availability requirements and charges. CampusBook is not responsible for the independent operation of a third-party service, although we will take reasonable steps to maintain integrations that form part of the CampusBook service.

14. Service availability, maintenance and changes

We work to keep CampusBook reliable and available, but uninterrupted or error-free operation cannot be guaranteed. Access may occasionally be affected by maintenance, upgrades, internet or telecommunications failures, third-party services, security events or circumstances beyond reasonable control.

We may update, improve, replace or discontinue particular features where reasonably necessary. Where a material change affects an institution's contracted service, it will be handled in accordance with the applicable agreement with that institution.

15. Suspension and termination

Access to CampusBook may be restricted, suspended or terminated where reasonably necessary to protect the platform, comply with law, respond to security concerns, address serious misuse, enforce these Terms, or implement an institution's authorised account-management decision.

Institutional access may also end or change when the institution's agreement with QuestLyft Ltd changes or ends. Where appropriate, institutional data and transition arrangements will be handled under the relevant agreement and applicable data-retention requirements.

16. Service disclaimers

CampusBook is provided as an education-management technology service. To the extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee that every feature will always be available without interruption or that every item of information supplied by a user, institution or third party will be accurate.

Users should verify important institutional decisions, deadlines, payment obligations and academic information with the responsible institution where confirmation is reasonably required.

Nothing in these Terms excludes any guarantee, duty, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.

17. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, QuestLyft Ltd will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising solely from the use or inability to use CampusBook, including loss resulting from unauthorised use caused by a user's failure to protect account credentials or from the independent failure of a third-party service.

Any contractual liability between QuestLyft Ltd and an education institution is also subject to the agreement governing the provision of CampusBook to that institution.

These Terms do not limit liability where doing so would be prohibited by law, including liability arising from fraud, wilful misconduct or another obligation that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

18. Responsibility for misuse

You are responsible for losses or claims that result from your deliberate unlawful use of CampusBook, fraudulent submissions, infringement of another person's rights, or serious breach of these Terms, to the extent provided by applicable law.

This section does not make an applicant or student responsible for matters that are properly the responsibility of an institution, CampusBook or a third-party provider.

19. Privacy and personal information

Use of CampusBook involves the processing of personal information. Our Privacy Policy explains how personal information is collected, used, shared, retained and protected, and describes applicable privacy rights.

Our Cookie Policy provides additional information about cookies and similar technologies used on CampusBook websites and portals.

20. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Uganda, without prejudice to any mandatory rights that may apply to you under applicable law.

If a concern arises, we encourage you to contact CampusBook Support first so that we can try to resolve it promptly. Where the matter concerns an institutional decision or record, the relevant institution may need to participate in that resolution.

If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it may be referred to the courts or another competent dispute-resolution forum in accordance with applicable Ugandan law and any governing institutional agreement.

21. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in CampusBook services, legal requirements, security practices or business operations. The current version will be published on this page with its latest revision date.

Where changes materially affect users' rights or obligations, we may provide additional notice through CampusBook or another appropriate communication channel.
